Employment Specialists help adults find, get, and keep meaningful, competitive jobs based on their interests, strengths, and goals, with support that continues after placement.

Employment can be an important part of wellness, independence, and recovery. Arundel Lodge’s Supported Employment Program helps adults identify, obtain, and maintain meaningful, competitive employment based on their interests, strengths, and goals.
Our Employment Specialists work closely with each person to explore job interests, build a professional resume, connect with employment opportunities, and provide ongoing support throughout the process. Staff also collaborate with local businesses to support clear communication, positive working relationships, and long term success for both employees and employers.
After intake, participants begin working with an Employment Specialist to discuss work history, interests, strengths, and employment goals. Together, they develop an individualized employment plan and begin exploring job opportunities in the community.
Participants may also be connected with the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) and the Workforce & Technology Center (WTC) for additional employment-related support. Employment Specialists continue to provide support after job placement to help participants maintain employment and feel confident in the workplace.
Adults ages 18 and older with a diagnosis of a chronic behavioral health disorder may be eligible for the Supported Employment Program.
Our program is guided by supported employment principles, including competitive employment, universal access, immediate job search, integrated services, benefits counseling, continued support, and a personalized approach based on each person’s preferences and goals.
Participants may receive job coaching, job placement support, resume development, employer connections, benefits counseling, and ongoing support before and after employment begins.
Our business partners are essential to the success of Arundel Lodge’s Supported Employment Program. These community-minded businesses collaborate with us and their employees to provide the necessary supports that lead to success, creating a win-win situation for everyone involved.
Enrollment in this program is available to individuals who are recipients of Medical Assistance.
