Markus is a LMSW and serves as Intake Specialist and Therapist at Arundel Lodge Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center. He holds an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as additional degrees in music and city planning. Markus brings a unique combination of empathy, understanding, honesty, humor, and a wide range of personal life experiences into his work. His focus is on building a therapeutic alliance with clients based on trust and unconditional positive regard and providing them with the support, guidance, and encouragement needed to make lasting life changes and feel better about themselves. He has a strong interest in Positive Psychology and other strength-based approaches to treatment, as well as the use of meditative practices in therapy. He lives in Annapolis with his wife and enjoys playing guitar, walking in nature, going to concerts and movies, and traveling to new places whenever possible.
