Q: How is Arundel Lodge funded?

A: Arundel Lodge is funded in three ways:
We receive reimbursement from Medical Assistance and a few private insurers for client direct care
We apply to government and private foundation grants
We rely on private donations
Government and foundation grants along with private donations are a vital component in closing the gap on direct care services not covered by insurance, including 24hr care for some, hot meals for Day Program participants, treatment for the uninsured or underinsured, and other needed support services. This funding also helps to cover operational expenses such as maintaining our building at 2600 Solomons Island Road where many of our services are provided and maintaining the homes in which 110 people in our Residential Rehabilitation Program live. Finally, these funds allow us to expand programs and services that address the community’s needs, such as the development of the Marcus Youth and Family Center for children 4-17 years of age and their families and the addition of First Step Recovery Program for substance use.
