Trauma Conference: December 11th, 2009 : 9:00am - 4:00pm Arundel Lodge, Inc. Edgewater, MD
You are invited to participate in this free, full-day conference to learn about implementing trauma-informed care in the human services. There is a growing recognition that psychological trauma is a pivotal force that shapes the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of those seeking healing and recovery with the support of mental health and human services.
Arundel Lodge is pleased to announce that two of its clients, Colin Lacey and Christian McCarroll have been chosen by the Art Committee of the Friends of Quiet Waters Park to showcase their original artwork at the Quiet Waters Park Garden Gallery, 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis, Maryland, 21403. The art exhibition, entitled “Modern Life” takes place from June 18, 2009 through July 16, 2009. An opening reception that is open to the public will be held on
Sunday, June 21st from 2-4pm.
The exhibit will feature up to twenty-five (25) pieces of original artwork, highlighting modern life through unique landscape and environments. The exhibit will feature primarily watercolor pieces. Both artists have had some formal art instruction at art colleges and continue to pursue their passion for art at Arundel Lodge with the help of art instructor Deede Miller.
The artists have had their artwork displayed throughout the Annapolis area at venues including: Anne Arundel Community College, Circle Gallery, 49 West, City Hall, Barnes & Noble Bookstore; Quiet Waters Park; and Art Enables in Washington, D.C.
